For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller of your personal information. Meet with Tech is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. We do not collect payment information directly: if payment features are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated.

The platform contains links to third-party websites and services, including event platforms (Eventbrite, Luma, Meetup) and user-provided links (GitHub, LinkedIn, personal websites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing personal data with them.
We do not knowingly transfer your personal data outside the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. If this changes, we will update this policy and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA).
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons.
Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. We include an unsubscribe link in every email we send.
Server and access logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. The profile completeness indicator shown in your account is a locally calculated score and does not affect any decisions about you.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing and are never stored in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS.
We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material we will notify registered users by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
